Speaker bios:

Kejia Zhao is a Senior Partner at Duan & Duan, with over twenty years of legal expertise in both China and the United States. He serves as a member of the International Law Committee at the Shanghai Bar Association, specializing in international transactions, corporate compliance, and business dispute resolution. He is licensed to practice law in both China and California, U.S., and has personally assisted a diverse array of clients, including those from China, Germany, and the United States, in achieving optimal results in business transactions and securing favorable outcomes in their commercial disputes.

Before joining Duan & Duan, Kejia worked for over ten years as a government lawyer in the field of investment-related compliance. He also worked as a litigation attorney at several prestigious law firms in Shanghai and New Jersey, litigating cases in various forums, including courts and arbitration.

Kejia has received numerous awards and titles for his exceptional professional performance, including the title of 'Legal Talent of Pudong' (律界英才) this year.

Louise Jiang is a Partner at Duan & Duan Law Firm’s Shanghai office and has been practicing law in China since 2001. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in Chinese law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, general corporate matters, and various commercial transactions. Louise has significant expertise in cross-border business transactions and proceedings.

She served as in-house general counsel for foreign-funded enterprises in China for over 15 years and has over a decade of experience as a Partner in a law firm. Throughout her career, she has advised numerous clients on general corporate matters and has been involved in a wide range of commercial transactions.
